Two playoff teams have inquired about the possibility of trading for Xavien Howard, according to a report.

The Miami Dolphins cornerback requested a trade on Tuesday.

The specific teams were not identified in the report but it did note that the two teams aren't alone, citing that "others" have contacted Miami, as well.

Aaron Rodgers held a 32-minute press conference in which he went into detail about his tumultuous offseason with the Green Bay Packers. Rodgers said he considered retirement.

"I just want to be involved in conversations that affect my ability to do my job," Rodgers said.

When asked if he's gotten any assurances that it will happen, he said: "I'm not sure ... at this point."

Rodgers talked about players who were not retained such as Charles Woodson and Randall Cobb. Cobb is expected to be traded back to the Packers.

"I wanted to help the organization, maybe learn from the some of the mistakes in the past ... and about the way that some of the outgoing veterans were treated," Rodgers said. "And just the fact that we didn't retain a number of players that I felt like were core players to our foundation, to our locker room. High-character guys."

The Green Bay Packers are on the verge of bringing back Randall Cobb in a trade with the Houston Texans, according to a source.

Cobb, who will turn 31 on Aug. 22, played his first eight seasons in Green Bay, where he was one of Aaron Rodgers' go-to receivers.

The trade no doubt will include a contract restructuring for Cobb, who was scheduled to make $8.25 million this season.

Unhappy with his contract, Xavien Howard has requested a trade from the Miami Dolphins.

The defensive back released a statement on social media Tuesday stating he requested the move.

Howard reported to training camp with the Dolphins earlier in the day.

He signed a five-year, $75.25 million extension in 2019.

The Green Bay Packers are close to an agreement for Aaron Rodgers to play for the team this year and then leave the team in 2022. The 2023 year in Rodgers' deal would be voided with no tags allowed in the future and Green Bay would agree to review his situation at the end of this season.

Rodgers has sought a trade from the Packers this offseason and has considered skipping training camp.

The Houston Texans are now willing to listen to trade offers for Deshaun Watson and will seek at least three first round picks and more.

Watson reported to camp with the Texans on Sunday after spending the entire offseason seeking a trade. Watson would still like a trade from Houston.

Watson has a no-trade clause and also is the defendant on approximately 20 sexual assault lawsuits. 

Watson finished the 2020 season with 4,823 yards and a 70.2 completion percentage to go with 33 touchdowns against seven interceptions. Watson also rushed for 444 yards and three touchdowns. 

Deshaun Watson reported to training camp Sunday in order to avoid a $50,000 daily fine. Watson, however, still wants to be traded by the Texans.

Teams can no longer forgive fines, and Watson would have been fined $50,000 for every day he was absent from camp.

Watson first asked to be traded in January after the Texans hired Nick Caserio as their general manager.

Chandler Jones has requested a trade from the Arizona Cardinals.

Jones has been upset with his contract and missed offseason work as a result. Arizona wants to keep Jones and expect him to report to training camp.

Jones is viewed as a "great guy" in the organization and is set to be a pivotal part of the Cardinals' defense this year.

Jones, due $15.5 million in the final year of his deal, emerged as one of the game's best pass-rushers while recording 49 sacks from 2017 to 2019.

The Chicago Bears have agreed to trade Anthony Miller to the Houston Texans.

Miller had been in trade rumors since April. 

Miller was a second round pick out of Memphis in 2018. In 2020, Miller caught 49 balls for 485 yards and two touchdowns.
